I'm Starting to Feel the Personality of My Country House

As I have been busy creating my shop which is so pale in color and very shabby french and romantic, I also have been waiting to sense a feeling for the rest of the house, the part where I live. The outside is a painted white sideing with garden green shutters, and the windows have black trim which I love. I knew that I wanted to incorporate the outside colors into the inside but wasn't quite sure how. This may shock some of you but I'm feeling it and bringing in the pale garden green on the kitchen walls with black and deep rasberry red accents. I describe it as "Romantic Country French Farm style" I may be crazy but I love it! Here are some photos of what I have done so far.

  5. Hi Christie,
I'm loving the look. I think when you're used to the pale hues that it's shocking at first. We too have a pale green house with darker green trims all around. It really flows well with nature and bringing those natural elements in for a French natural inspired look, just like they do there in France. Your house is beautiful, the wheel barrel filled with plants is perfect! Out to garden a bit... Wishing you a happy weekend with romantic French country tidbits here and there!

  12. Your kitchen looks terrific! You've just got to go with what you love and you can't go wrong. Thanks for sharing, it's truly beautiful!

I'm so bummed I couldn't make it to your sale this time. My nephew's wedding was that weekend (and happened to be right there in Fallbrook too!). It got moved up at the last minute, new orders from the military. I went from just loaning the decorations to suddenly becoming the coordinator for it all so we were quite busy that entire week to say the least!

Looking forward to the next Marketplace!

    Blessings,
    Missy

lovely personality and art. I adore the
soft hues with the drama of the black trim.

I tried to "follow" you but all of a sudden it
just disappeared. I was having some blogspot
problems but I think this time I may have done something wrong. I will try again tomorrow.
