  4. Hello Christie,
I quite understand your peace of mind. Nothing is peaceful than a stroll in a rose garden. I know you like to paint from life (like me) and I am sure you took inspiration from those wonderful roses. Nature has such beauty, so inspiring.
In spring, they are so much flowers to watch, so beautiful colors displayed in the gardens that I cannot wait to take my brushes to fix them on the canvas. It is a happiness to be in the garden drawing and painting en plein air.
I wish you a very successful show.

  8. don't you just love the roses that are as a big as a grapefruit and have one million petals...those old rose varieties are the best. I have been enjoying David Austin roses and will be adding a few new ones to my garden this spring. Thanks Christine.

  22. I am crazy about roses too. The scent, the delicate petals . . . be still my heart. In fact, the first picture in your lineup Eden roses -- I have them in my yard, and I can't wait for them to bloom this year. Last year they bloomed on my birthday. Best present ever.

  26. These roses are gorgeous! I tried growing roses once. Got very tired of using chemicals to combat black spot, yellow spot, aphids, japanese beetles, etc. I greatly admire anyone who can grow roses like the ones here. Thanks for sharing!
