Most of you who know of me, know that I am extremly inspired by French floral art and History. I am forever digging in search of old designs for new inspiration! Recently I have been revisiting the Queen and Her passionate surroundings which are to me, full of beauty and grace! Here is a look at one of her special places within her estate "The Pettit Trianon" named the Belvedere Salon de Musique. The outside architectural details remind me of frosting on a wedding cake and the inside is embellished with amazing floral art, although worn through the ages , still quite beautiful and inspiring.

XO, Christie
In my two trips to France most of my photos are of the artwork like this in the different palatial spots I enjoyed visiting. Versailles was fabulous as was several other places, I just wished I could lie on the floor so I could zoom onto the ceilings. At one place I did, I did not care if everyone thought me a crazy American!

ReplyDeleteHi Christie ~ well you probably know that I am a Marie fan through and through! One day I will journey to France to see Versailles and the Petit Trianon in person! In the meantime, these beautiful images will have to do! ~Stacy~
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Christie~it reminds me of the paper I used to do the interior of my blue china hutch in my dining room. I would love to see it in person!
ReplyDeleteChristie, Maybe you should get your own tour of France and give painting lessons along the way? It sounds like a dream trip to me! I know I would save all my pennies to go! Just dreaming...

Hi Christie,
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog and wanted to let you know that the pictures are beautiful.
Hello Christie,
ReplyDeleteI just can't get that beautiful chair out of my daydreaming head that you painted and SOLD at the Vintage Market. I LOVE that chair!
It was so nice to see you there! Sorry I did not get to your blog sooner. Have just been so busy since the fair.
Love the Marie photo's such great style and elegance.
Make it a great weekend!
